Seems like a really long photo period. I had to pull mine back because I was reaching photo-inhibition. I imagine you will have the same issue.

Thanks for the input! I will play with my lights and figure out what works best.

Thanks! It's been a lot of work but now I can finally sit back and watch my coral grow. :)

    Update:

So far everything is looking great, I did have a small Red Bug problem but after a little Bayer dip everyone looks happy & healthy.

I also decided to cut back on the intensity of my lights and photo period, I was loosing color in my GBN and my PBN.

Lastly I plan to add a PhosBan 150 reactor to my system, if anyone has any tips on what media to use please chime in.

    Thanks :)

Your tank is pretty sweet too, I can't wait to have a larger tank someday.

Anyone have input on what media I should use with the Phosban 150?

I like BRS gfo a lot. If you don't want to swap it out often you can use the HC GFO, but it will probably drop your phosphate too much too fast.

Currently I am at very low amounts of phosphate and silicate. But I am currently using Phosban to control these levels. I need to replace the media every 4 days. If I could find a product that lasts 2-4 weeks in a reactor I would be golden.

Also I would like to know if I can run carbon and a product to control phosphate and silicate in the same reactor, I have no problem modding or adding disks to separate each product.
