Well today is a sad day but well over due.. I am going to trade in my Toadstool for some fish food.. It's getting to big and honestly there are many fuzzy sticks that could take its place in my tank.

Thanks, it was a very pretty piece but there are so many other things that could go in its place. :)

    7/9 Update

    UPDATE:

I ordered the Hanna Phosphate checker because I have one SPS that browned out on me, since I have been feeding AquaVitro Fuel the SPS has turned a very slight neon green but still isn't what it should be.

I also decided to take advantage of the Dr.Fosters & Smith sale and I picked up:
    • Pico Pump 200 (70gph)
    • PhosBan 150 reactor
    • PhosBan

    Current Tank Params:
    • PH: 8.20
    • SG 1.026
    • Mag - 1600 (Little High)
    • Ca - 420
    • Alk - 10.2
    • Phos - .19ppm
    • Temp - 78-80
    Supplements/Food
    • Rods Fish Food (Every other day)
    • AquaVitro Fuel (2ml Daily)
    • Cyclop-Eeze (Every other day)

Lastly everything has been great, the corals are all looking great! I still need to get them off the frag rack and attached to some rock very soon. I needed to turn down the % on my lights because some of the corals started to bleach, but overall everything is happy and healthy.

Getting the PO4 down and the Mg down will help. High levels of Mg can cause bleaching of corals.

The high levels of Mag are because of the BRS reef calculator, I called them to verify 500ml of Mag would be needed to raise from Mag from 1250 to 1400 over a few days and they confirmed!

I questioned them because I added 100ml and I was already at 1600, they told me 500ml was the right amount and my new Red Sea Pro test kit was bad. (Needless to say I DIDN'T add another 400ml of Mag)

So going forward I plan to take what ever their reef calculator says and divide by 10 and go from there.

    Today was a good day!

For the first time I cleaned my return pump in vinegar and for the first time in 2 years I cleaned my skimmer. There is a HUGE performance increase I have noticed between the both of them!

Now I need to get rid of the smell before the fiancée comes home.. :/
