Well it has started, my war against Blue Clove Polyps!!

This is my very first time using Kalk Paste, pleas give me thought and opinions.

I let the paste sit for 1-2 min before sucking off.

Chris what happened to the Fluke tabs?

Seems like a lot of kalk do be using in a nano, did you test your parameters afterwards?

Fluke Tabs would kill my entire pod population and bristle worms, I have some HUGE worms in my rock I would hate to kill.

I plan to test shortly, I did a 5 gallon water change when Kalking.

My Ph went up by .02 "after water change" Total Ph = 8.20

P.S. Total paste used was 2 mL

    Hmmm sorry to hear that.

Guess we need to find the specific nudibranch that eats blue cloves, there must be one.

The kalk just not look like it knocked them down much.

I know.... Kinda sucks to be honest. Maybe I need to make it thicker and wait longer. I did buy some Insulin needles (30), I could inject into each mouth.

My ALK is sitting at 8.904 after Kalking, it was 9.184 last night.

My LFS mentioned Cowries, they eat Xenia & Cloves... Any thoughts on them?

I think you need to let the kalk sit for hours not minutes.

Hours?! I'll try longer next time.

I know..... I plan to do 5 gallon watch changes & Kalk attacks every 2-3 days.
