    Well Its not sealed.... but there is barely any air movement inside the stand. Not sure if it would have a positive affect like you mentioned.

    My tanks have slowly Increased their PH by keeping my rooms door open when Im not home or around. Plus it has been fixing my Migraines that I was getting as well. I cant wait for nicer days to come, We have already had a few And Ive been able to Open the windows. The tanks definately seem to like the fresh air from the house and the winter times.

    I dunno about how it would affect your particular situation, but the RSM250 AIO has an air tube for the protein skimmer running out to the back of the tank, so I imagine there's at least some benefit to doing it.
