    Fist things first, I use Ecobak

    To me they serve 2 different purposes

    GFO for Phosphate and Silicates
    BP for Phospahtes and Nitrates

    What are you looking to do?

    Reduce phos and Nit. I hate GFO and changing it. I like the fact Bio-Pellets are pretty easy to use...reactor and adding when low. I toyed with carbon dosing in the past but I was horrible at the daily routine.

    I wouldn't do carbon dosing unless it was on an auto dosing pump. Then comes deciding what to dose. As long as you are patient and ramp up slowly, you should be fine.
