I've been thinking of getting a small reactor for my 29 gallon. I think this just replaced the idea of getting a store bought one :)

What size nano did you use this on?
    How long is the reactor?
What is the diameter of the reactor?

I need to enlarge this system for my 80gal grow out system.

    20 gallon nano

    it is 14 inches long

    diameter is about 2.5 inches

I used a narrow tube so I could get alot of flow through the media but if you got a good pump you could go wider

What diameter pvc did you use? I have some 1", but it is not quite big enough. I will have to get some 1 1/4" and see if that works better.

    That generally answers my question.

I couldn't find one that big around.

Just cancelled my $100 reactor order! Kept looking at those things wondering where the money went! Now i know! in their pocket! lol!

Anyways, thanks, won't be able to use your plan persay, but nothing 1/2 hour at Lowes can't solve!

Also, where do you get the plastic mesh in walmart?

Thanks again for saving me some cash! now i need to figure out how to run a loop through my uv/fuge/this to get rid of some pumps in the tank!
    any ideas?

    thx again!

The plastic mesh can be bought at most Wal-mart(s), in the crafts section (i.e. - cross stitching). Unfortunately my Walmart thinks cake decorating and children's parties are more important (they don't carry it). So I will have to find the plastic mesh somewhere else...
