Im looking for a new tank for my wife. She want something fresh water and low maintenance. I just came across the biorb tanks and they look pretty neat. does anyone have any experience with them?

I have no experience, but if your looking for a basic freshwater setup it should be fine. You might want to look into the TetraCare starter kits. They come in I think 10, 20, and 29 gallons or something like that. My first tank was a ten gallon TetraCare starter kit and it works fine for a basic fresh set up and is reasonably cheap.

I'm sure it would be fine. I am partial to the idea of a plug and play system, but I haven't tried one yet. Maybe one day...

from what i have heard though they are quite prone to scratches. they are made form acrylic not glass and i wasn't advised to get one. like i said though don't just take my word, just something you might want to check out.

if you could manage(needs lights), i would plant what ever tank you get her, so the plants could help keep the water clean and prevent algae growth.

use hardy plants like wisteria or swords
