My birds nest looks a little pale on the parts that receive the most light. Are these better off lower in the tank? I have a 29 gall with four 24 watt T5's.

Are they growth tips or the start of bleaching? IME, birdsnests are lower light corals.

I have better luck with them in the mid to lower levels of my tank.

Upper, mid and lower...that's not confusing at all. Bulbs are two weeks old but I replaced them one at a time.

How is the flow? Is it growth like asked before?

I have mine at the top of my tank with (2) 175w MH and (2) 54w t5 bulbs and both varieties I have are healthy.

start them low, if they start to darken nd brownout slowly move it up. Starting corals high will just bleach them. I bleach 2 SPS in my first forey into the hobby with 4 T5 lighting and they still haven't fully recovered after 3 months.

They have many new growth tips, growth is not a problem. It just looks like some of the areas in direct light are a little bleached. What kind of supplement are good for the corals tissue?

I have a 29 gal biocube with a 4x24W T5 fixture. I also have an ORA bird of paradise birdsnest in the upper level of my tank. There hasn't been any bleaching or browning out since I got it and the polyp extension on it is amazing.

I keep mine (green and pink w/ purple polyps) mid level in the tank with pretty good flow and they have been doing great.
