Do you have a T5 fixture? How long/big is the tank and how many bulbs does it have in it? (this will give us an idea of the lighting you have).

We have a Sundial T5 4 bulb fixture and have two birdsnest on the top of our aquascape. Both are growing like crazy, definitely our fastest growing SPS corals up there. Be sure to watch your params, especially keep your calc up.

The best way to determine which bulb type you have is to look at the manufacture printing on the end of the bulb, measure the bulb diameter, and simply research different bulb types and fixtures on any aquarium site until you find the ones that match what you have. For 48", it could most likely be VHO or T5. VHO will look like a regular fat 1-1/2" (T12) bulb. A T5 bulb will be 5/8" diameter.
PC (power compact) bulbs look like two tubes side by side, joined at the tip, with the electrical connection only on one end.
