Bivalve ID, oysters growing on ceriths.

    The scallop-looking thing is a pearl oyster. It's fine. The oysters that are growing on the ceriths, if they are still alive, will probably eventually kill the ceriths, simply because they will weigh them down. Pretty cool combo until then, though.

    I was thinking the same of the oysters on the snails. they are able to move fine right now but i don't know how much bigger they get. Anyone know if theres a safe way to separate them or will i have to choose one or the other. I think the ceriths are more useful as CUC but will the oysters, the larger one in particular, grow into something worth while, as in aesthetically pleasing, hardy, and long-lived?
