    The hermit crab i thought had unsuccessfully molted is not dead in fact he's still in his shell!...what is this bubble with claws under my anemone then! I got it out by the way

    I saw your other post and was kind of hoping someone with more experiene then me would post, but....

    I think that bubble with claws you see IS the molt. When they leave the snail shell, thats not actually them molting. Although they do leave the shell to molt. They have their own exo skeleton that they molt. It looks a lot like a dead hermit, but it doesnt have any meat in it. Is that maybe what you have?
