using the CA 100 skimmer until i can afford the ev-120/180 unit. (this skimmer is a p.o.s but it'll do for the initial cycling and what not)

i received a $100 check today for something i wasnt expecting so i went ahead and blew it at the LFS for carib-sea arag-alive fiji pink sand, coralife salt bucket, and ~10lbs of LR.

when im done making RO/DI water and mixing the salt in ill run the pumps for 24 hours let things circulate and then throw in the 20lbs of LR from my 10gal nano.

then in a couple weeks ill have my marco base rock (50lbs) and some live rock (25lbs) grand total of 105lbs of rock.

    lighting is 4x54W t5-ho 2x14000k 2x480NM actnic
fuge light is PC not sure of the wattage, but 2x12000K bulbs

fuge wont be used till i can afford the mud and another bag of sand. then ill place my order with reefcleaners for 50 dwarf ceriths, 30 blue leg hermits, fuzzy chiton(s), mangroves/chaeto for the fuge, and i might pickup his fuge starter kit.

so by january i hope to have this coral ready. i have 2 damsels, 1 scooter blenny, 5 hermits, 5 snails in my 10gal that will be used for the initial breakin. they were given to me from a friend that had extras and didnt want the damsels after their initial cycling.

ok, well my cameras apparently dead. im charging the battery atm. this is from a week ago after i got done putting the black plexi up, putting the tank in its place, putting in water, and throwing in 100lbs of playsand from home depot which i later found out was silicate based...had to take all that out. clean the tank, twice, and here i am now today refilling again with water and caribsea sand.

ignore my black ghetto tape job of a dali poster above the tank. i did that just to see how it'd look ;)

this is the back of a very large DIY couch pit that seats 8-10 people comfortably that has a 60" HDTV on the opposite side. the entire room has been cased in 3/4" black plexi that a buddy gave me (hooked me up with 50 8' x 1' sections) ill take pics of the whole "MAN CAVE" im building myself. men need their lair lol! been a work in progress for ~12+ months now

heres two pics from a week ago when i decided to take a blank circuit board, some resistors, some superbright blue led's and a piece of plexi to make a night light. tested it out on my 10gal for a proof of concept. im going to make a 48" piece of plexi with 10 led's across it boxed in to hide the wiring and such. it'll go in the center of the DIY 48" light fixture im making for my t5-ho's
