    NO3 15/ppm
    NO2 1/ppm

how high should the NO2 spike? also should i not be using any filter floss or "sock" in the sump while the cycling is happening?

NO2 is dropping since the other day.... so im curious if i just had a mini-cycle because it went to 2.0 at the highest... do i need to do something to spawn a bigger spike?

no ones chimed in, so ill just keep talking to myself.... i got a new clown today as a pseudo-gift or shall i say 'peace' gift for the use of a 12"x30" space in my basement for a pet guinea pig.

the tanks went through its initial nitrogen cycle so i felt it was ok to acclimate the percula clown. the LFS had their salinity at 1.017 so i acclimated this guy to my 1.023 over the course of 4 hours.

he's now in the tank and getting along happily with the damsels i used for the initial cycling.

i also moved my rockscape again. the anemone made it through the cycle (if you recall i had no ability to put it elsewhere at the time because my 10gal crashed due to unforeseen circumstances) .

the condy nem has stopped moving around, and is finally seated on this rock. i target feed it every other day with a combination brineshrimp/krill meal. it gets VERY large and full during the day. its tentacles with the blue tips are entrancing to watch.

my snail with the SPS, zooanthid colony, or whatever the heck it is on its back is keeping those corals up in the light near the top of the overflow chamber. he's been up there eating algae for two days now. good for the corals! i hope he stays up there.

i also included a pic of the HUGE emerald crab i have...

    incoming pics....
