got a new piece of live rock today from rubystar. she had a piece she originally got for her nano tank and it was just too big for her tank to really do anything with as far as scaping and was ridden with GHA. so i traded her two small chunks of my marco base rock for it.

has a nice portion of a coral that had grown in her tank spanning from the originally rock onto this one. so i got a coral frag out of it! woot.

pics soon once i figure out how to get the coral off of it, nuke the GHA, and place it back in the tank.

I'm having the same problem.. after 4 weeks of cycling, the Diatom is all over my rock but it should go away ... so I am going to wait another 3 weeks before adding livestock.
    Love your rock arrangement though!!!!

yeah diatoms are a <insert bad word here>....

thank you for the compliment on the scape. it never quite looks right to me no matter what i do, but then again its not full of life/corals. i think im going to leave it as is now and get my clean-up crew. leave it for a few more weeks and see where its at.
