yeah you should really have more LR in that big of a tank, bta's are tricky to keep and require the water to be well maintained, they handle nitrates pretty well but need to have 0 on PO4, nitrite and ammonia as well

 

I can't keep an anenome for some reason. My tank has been established (minus the emergency down size) for over 10 years. My Blacks and occelaris hosted a Sebae soon as it hit the water. The sebae didn't even get attached yet... it lasted about a little over a month and turned to mush. I fed it Mysis too.

 

Why? they claim lr makes the cycle months shorter? so why wait?

 

"cycling" is not the same as "established and stable".

 

Get the rock asap...place the annenome in 9 months (Personally I feel 9 months is over kill if you increase your lr, maybe another 4 months)

 

yea it's not ALL about the cycle, its about having a stable well established tank. For optimum success most people (who have kept them successfully I might add), would recommend that you wait at least a few more months. Anemone's can live for years and years in the wild (and sometimes in the home aquarium), so it would be kind of sad to not give it the best chance Good luck to you and I hope your clowns hosts when you get it!
