Well this is just to crazy and need to find out if Sasha (black clownfish) and Mango (Percula clownfish) are ok.

We have had her for over 9 months with no problems what so ever, well after feeding all my fish today and admiring my babys I noticed that Sasha only has one eye or is she sick. While looking at all my other fish they all seem fine accept for my clownfish's.

I have 3 clownfish and 2 are a matted pair of Black Percs and the other is a Percula Clownfish but on all of them if you look on either onside of the top of the head or on my orange Perc he has both sides of his head with what looks like it has been crushed.......... I tried to get a good pic but this is the best that I can do.

All help is welcomed and appreciated......

All my parameters are spot on, I mean all with nothing out of the norm.

I can not really see much with regard to absence of the eye to the black clown. If it is indeed missing an eye my first guess would be bullying by another clown fish. If this is a smaller system you may experience real problems with attempting to keep three mature clowns in the same tank.

The other orange clown fish, looks similar to "hole in the head disease" aka lateral line disease. Again hard to say for sure without a closer image. LLD can have multiple causes, usually associated with stress from any one or combination of nutritional issues, stray voltage, poor water quality.

Sorry I can not be of more assistance.

    Good Luck

Corailine if the clowns had LLD wouldnt my tangs have it aswell.? This is a 120 gallon tank and know one really bullies anyone. They are all peaceful toward each other. You will see the smaller clowns follow the clown fish in the pic.

They all eat very well and look very vibrant, quality of the water is, not to brag but excellent. I might have to go ahead and buy me a grounding rod to make sure it takes care of any stray voltage that might be present or to prevent this in any case.

Corailine looking at many pictuers of the HLLE it does not look like that. It really looks like his head has been crushed to me......... hhhhhhmmmmmmm........

I am running Carbon and it says this might be a product of the carbon if indeed it is HLLE..

    Anythoughts on this?

That large of a tank I would think you would not have too many issues with the clowns and aggression.

I have read the same thing regarding use of carbon and LLD. It is such a strange syndrome and I would not be surprised by anything.

With that said, no it does not look like the typical case of LLD. I have had 2 clown fish that had that similar appearance. One turned into LLD after several months and the other clown was fine and it looked more like a genetic defect than anything else. I often wondered if I just missed it and once I noticed it, it appeared more pronounced to me.

I also had issues a long time ago with a serpent starfish attacking my clown fish while they slept and inflicting injuries.

Hopefully someone else will chime in, you can pm member Pickle and see if he has some insight. If you can bulk up the diet with garlic, Selcon or equiv it sure would not hurt.
