Black gunk

    well when i first purchased my live rock they were healthy but now they are covered in this black or dark green gunk. anyone ever seen this before?

    I have feeling its cyano but without a pic, no one will be able to id it properly

    can't take a picture, it is that dark. it doesn't matter the plants are practically dead. and boy does it stink. i also can't see anything alive in there so i think i am just going to trash it.

    well its done. good thing i didn't have any animals in there. only thing i found was an amiphipod.
