My Black leopard wrasse has been in my tank for a couple of months now, i feed it copepods and it also eats frozen mysis shrimp, he has a good appetite when i feed the tank, today i did a head count, other 3 fish were normal active and usual selves but the leopard wrasse i found him lieing on bed of zoas,
I was a bit concerned so i prodded him very gentle with a algae scraper and he just seemed to slide down the rockwork, but i could see him breathing,

I know it loves mysis so i decided to feed the tank, and sure enough he popped up and started to eat, but then when the food all went, back into his armchair on the rockwork he went lieing on his side,

I know wrasse bury under sand at night, but lights have only been on 3 hours so far and hes lieing on rock, is this normal behavior or could something be wrong with him, there is no damage to body or fins that i can see with the naked eye, just looks like it wants to sleep and does not care where,:-/

A picture would help. Doesn't sound like normal behavior. Does the tank have sand?

Sounds like a very stressed fish to me. Something is acting as the stressor; the most likely suspects would be other tankmates.

I would agree. The fish is in a weird position so I would say something is wrong..

This morning i came down to a dead wrasse on the sandbed with just the outer skin remaining, the cuc sure did waste no time devouring him,

I always check my livestock to make sure they are getting along, small chromis, coral beauty, algae blenny and a medium clown fish, all mind their own business, beauty and wrasse browsed the rockwork all day, never witnessed anything bothering it,although i would say the clown is the boss of the tank,

im at a loss, rip :(
