Just wondering what some others here do with these plugs in terms of mounting?

They're thicker than regular plugs and don't clip off flush with a pair of side-cutters. I don't have holes on my rock big enough for them.

    What do you do??

They are my biggest gripe with ORA, I mean comon make them thinner.

I used a grinder and ground one down until it fit in my holes on my rock. another I kind of laid against a rock and used adhesive to hold it there.

I have use superglue gel to adhere them to the rock. You could use a hacksaw to remove the spike and treat it like a flat plug also.

Personally, I remove the coral from the plug and glue it onto a piece of rubble rock. It'll usually pop right off. If I can't get it off the plug, I clip the plug down as far as I can get it, then mount that.

Think I'll do that. Hacksaw it flat and mount somewhere. Just a pain to do exposing the coral and all. Also, With hermits out and about they knock everything over :( . Don't like to permanently mount anything for a few weeks at least.

I would but they're all encrusted. I don't want to loose That portion of the frag as well. Or do you do it anyway?

They will encrust again quite rapidly.

Yep, I do what I can to get them off. I only have two plugs in my tank right now. I picked them up for a friend who said I could have a piece of each. I popped each one off of the plug and glued them to a piece of rock for him. I'm keeping the encrusted part of the plugs to grow out until I can cut those up and attach to rocks. Free frags.

That's what was thinking. Idk, just seems harder for me to do when I
Pay so much for a frag, but If others have done it then so can I :) !! Thanks for the help.
