black sand

    I am going to be starting a new ten gallon reef. I have normal white or tan sand and would like to mix black sand into it. Do you guys think this would be a good idea? I getting a burrowing goby of some sorta and another pistol shrimp. Is the black sand bad for the burrowing creatures?

    as long as its not sand box sand i would think it would be fine there is black sand in the ocean
