    Stomatella snail, good guy to have.

    One of the best free tank cleaners you can have IMO.

    stomatella, you will see more and more pop up, good cleaner and good sign your tank is doing well.

    but I purchased this with a group of ceriths (guy threw it in bag for free) so my question is how will more pop up? asexual reproduction?

    you probably have some in your live rock, i didnt buy a single one of them and my tank now holds over 10 of them and from what iv read the release both the eggs and milt in your tank resulting in a slight clouding of your tank water.

    live rock has some interesting surprises!! since i only have a 29g i have been letting the tank cycle and the rock thrive without adding any additional bioload except a emerald crab and a condy anemone and it's been doing really well. i really need to add some macroalgae to fill up the bare feeling of the tank and i think it would help nitrates as well as food for my emerald. have a lot of creepy pods of all sizes and diff worms that like to do a slam dunk type of motion from their hiding space in the rock lol real creepy

    It could very well be a small scutus (shield limpet) too. The picture is a little blurry and I there's no sense of size from the pic. Stomatella come in various colors (and sometimes black too). However, their shells are rarely white. Scutus on the other hand are always black and their shell is always white.
