There are Black Spots On My Ocellaris Clown..Started With 1..Now there 7 or more..?? i know for a fact it is not ICK..and truthfully i dont notice any difference in his behavior..he is EXTREMELY energetic..it was a true chore getting these photos..i seriously had to take over 150 just to get these 5..he is ALL over the place hence his name Twitch..but he had one spot back in September 2011..and now on October 10th 2011 he has multiple ones all over both sides of his body..

This was September 2011..only one very small barely visible spot...

I thought I read a similar post hear a little while back that the marks can possibly be from an anemone or coral stings..

I'd also like to add I think you got a true percula clownfish and not an ocellaris. The black bands look too thick to be an ocellaris. I could be wrong though.

I have 2 clowns, both juveniles. They have been in the tank roughly 3 weeks. The one started out with 1 black spot similar to the ones on your fish. Now he has about 4 and the other fish has 1. I believe they are hyper melanization caused by either my frogspawn or torch coral.
