    Hey all,

I just have a quick question. I noticed this morning that one of my Volitans Dorsal spines is exposed, meaning the flesh is about 80% gone from the spine. I have read that this means the spine has been "used". Everyone in my tank seems fine.

My question is, since I am about 90% sure that my Lionfish has touched my RBTA once or twice before, could this be a result of him touching my RBTA?

    Thanks,
    -Derrick

its a possibility. i dont think BTA have a very potent sting though. maybe it rammed a rock or something and got it hurt?

It doesn't seem to be in any distress at all. He is definitally eating like a normal Volitan. I have noticed him coughing & yawning. I can only assume this is normal?

Thanks Gexx, that is what I assumed. I am still fighting off a green algae issue which is funny because the volitan looks like his fins, on the clear parts, looks like it is tinted green. LOL, I assume that the flesh will grow back on the dorsal spine.
