    Hi Scenario1313

Dr frag has the below combination on his 8 tube SPS dominated 180
the 6700 put out a lot of par
the aquablue are ATI I believe and are 14k

he did mention that he was going to swap out one of the 6700k and add an additional aquablue for aethetics

Like stated I have 3 aquablue+, 3 actinic+ and 2 6700k,... I might turn one of the 6700 into blue+ or maybe even actinic+.... But we will see. According to PAR tests the bulbs I choose did VERY well... Thats why I choose them!! ;-)

    I have a 6 lamp T5 canopy
    I have
    2 x power chrome actinic plus 22k - Geisseman
    2 x aquablue 14k - Geisseman
    2 x reef white 15 k - aquamedic

if I swapped out one of the 14k for another actinic it would be to blue for my tastses

I have not heard of these Blau brand bulbs.

Years ago, ATI used to have a 20,000k blue before the Blue + came out. The blue+ put out way more PAR than the 20,000k blues did.

Now these look like different bulbs.

I see that they are made in 80 watters, so that is good.

For an eight bulb fixture, I would suggest 5 blue bulbs, and 3 daylights. I would not use actinics unless you really want to. I find that they generally have much less PAR then blue bulbs. Personally, I would use 6 Blue+ bulbs and maybe a 10K and two 12K or 11K.
