    Hello Guys,

Purchase this guy two days ago. It was basically a impulse purchase seems he had new stock. My tank is 7 weeks old and should of done my research before buying/adding to my tank. Its currently moving very slowly from the bottom of my tank to a higher place on my rock.

    Heres a picture:

Its exactly the same colour and size of what it was in the LFS. I've attempted to feed it yet it wont eat. I can see its mouth a couple of times.

My lighting is 100W LED system with 3W cree LED per LED. Tank size is a 65 Gallon.

Advice on what to do ?

    Many thanks

    Welcome to 3reef

Your Bubble tip anemone (BTA) looks pretty good.

    Maybe some mild bleaching.

    What are you feeding it?
If it will not take small pieces raw sea food than I would just let it be for a week.

Just make sure your parameters are in line. The anemone will find a spot it likes and might even split.

It's an unusual looking one with the white tips, almost looks like Heliofungia.

I'm feeding it prawn and mysis shrimp from a syringe however it wont stick to it.

My parameters are bang on. I'm going to do another test tonight and might do a small water change.

I will try and feed it again on monday/tuesday.

    Thanks for your info :)

I would just give it some time and let it settle before worrying about feeding it. I have a BTA in one of my tanks and it moved around for about a week until it found a spot it liked. Unfortunately, it was right next to a green polyp leather and the two were not happy to be neighbors. I moved the leather and the BTA has stayed put. When I fed it for the first time it had been in the tank for about 2 weeks and had been settled in it's spot for a week. If it is not time for a water change and your parameters are good then I don't think that is related to it not wanting to eat. It just needs to find a spot it likes.

you should try to wait till your tank is really established, between 8-12 months before adding a nem. but your tank looks pretty good and so does the nem so you may be good.
