Bleached LTA?

    cool! i spent my money on acans though. someday ill get an anemone, someday.

    well, im prob gonna get it this weekend. its a little more bleached but ive been reading nonstop about how to take care of them. (thank you karensroseanemones.net) ive also read they do best when under MH, like mine. so hopefully i can do this!

    if it was me i wouldnt do an anemone that is bleached.. even if i give them the best care there is still a risk. IMHO the number 1 rule is to get healthy stuff from the beginning..

    its not too bleached, otherwise its healthy. i think it will be fine. im taking a check list iwth me to see if everything is alright. cant wait to see the peoples faces when i starts asking them questions.

    the "list"

    foot is undamaged
    no gaping mouth
    sticky
    responsive to movement (retracts when taken out)

    if i missed something please tell me.

    i was going to say bleached lol but thats taken care of.
    see if the tentacles are unamaged as well all extending or in good shape
    the responsive to movement, undamaged foot and stickyness are very important so good job on having those.
    if its attached to a rock see if the LFS guy struggles a little to un attach it.. this usually means that the anemone can attach easily to your tank.
    other than that i think you are good to go.

    yea im hoping its not on a rock. it is a sand boaring anemone anyways. ive got a big part of sand open for it. under my MH to the right. i cant wait till tomorrow.

    Get the brown one... that's what they are supposed to look like when they have zooxanthellae. When they loose their symbiotic algae, they turn bright white.
