Bleached LTA?

    the brown one was in the other tank and looked like crap when i went yesterday to see it. this one looks ok though. so far at least...

    It should color up then, and turn brown if it is healthy.

    actually, ive found out that blue is a normal color for long tentacle anemones.

    The LTAs have a variety of colors. I dont think it is bleached. I have seen older baby blue anemones in older tanks in tulsa. Good luck

    yep i got it and it doesnt like krill at all lol. but i loves silver sides. i think it will do good. it does have some bleached tentacles, but the majority are not bleached.

    Blue is not a normal color for anemones. It is a known practice that some retailers will add a dye into their water to cause the anemone to take on a "pretty color" to make them more appealing, or to hide bleaching. This definitely looks to be one of thsoe cases. Zooxanthellae colonies in anemones tend to be darker in color. Even light colored tentacle anemones have deep colored trunks.

    hes only gotten bluer since ive got him.
