blenny sleeping vertically

    I know this picture is pretty terrible but I caught my harptail blenny sleeping last night pressed into the corner of the tank.

    lol mine did that all the time. never seemed to be a problem.

    Ya he's out and about this morning no worries at all. I have never seen a fish do that before tho

    This is definitely pretty normal for them. You may want to consider adding some kind of large shell for him to sleep in. A conch shell works but there are many shapes and sizes of shells he might like as a home. I have found blennys just love to sleep in them.Just make sure you burp the air out of it when placing it in the tank.;)

    No problem. You could even use half a clam shell leaned against something.Good luck with it. They are such characters.;D

    My YWG never sleeps outside of one of his caves. My clowns however...they've been sleeping in a vertical position lately since I added a couple of corals. Quirky characters, these fish.

    Nothing to worry over. I have a blenny that does the same and my yellow watchman goby also does this.

    My clowns do that too. Except they "sleep" head down.
