    I have a brown starfish (not choclate chip) that is starting to move around, he is really close to my Flame Scallop, does he sense the presense of the scallop or could he stick an appendage in the Scallop's disk and lose a limb?
    Do they all sense the presence of the other Invert's and fish?

    I would guess that it would move slowly enough to not have much of an arm on the flame scallop before it would react. How long have you had the flame scallop by the way?

    Even if he loses a limb it'll grow back, I wouldn't worry about it as long as the star is healthy.
