I have kept those together as well but not in that small of a tank. They were peaceful in my 55 though. Also I agree with the other posts my cleaner steals from my corals all the time. It makes me very upset when I am trying to target feed. However the cleaner shrimp is always out doing stuff while the blood red shrimp was a little more timid.

if your looking for a shrimp that walks around and searches for food to keep the sandbed clean i would go with the blood shrimp. it may just be mine but my scarlet skunk cleaner doesnt leave his rock unless its stealing food from my coral. with either shrimp depending on what fish or crabs you have, you will want some good hiding places made out of the live rock because when they molt they are more vulnerable to getting picked at.

I made a small cave (easily larger than a grapefruit) in the BioCube. I would assume this would work just fine.

ya mine never even hides when he molts, he does it at night, buts its nice to give them a place to hide if they need to. Anyway both thoes shrimp are good scavengers I personally like the look of the blood shrimp. have you figured out what one you are gunna go with?

I haven't heard anyone say that the fire shrimp steals food... so we might go that direction. I want to go look at them in the store and see their personalities some more. I'd like it to clean the fish if they want/need it, but mostly scavenge.

the skunk is more aggressive in stealing food. However, it was also more active during the day. my blood shrimp mostly only leaves its cave at night. i kept two together but it was in a 135 gallon and they definitely stayed out of each others way.
