Blue Angel advice needed

Hey guys,

I have been keeping my Blue Face angel for about 1.5 years now and it's grown from about 1.5 inches to about 4.5 inches now.. and it has always had a habit of picking on acans, chalices and open brain corals, so I have never kept any of them.. but I have a ton of soft corals, mushrooms, lps, zoas, xenia, and basically a soft coral set up.. and it hasn't bothered anything in the tank.. but is it likely that after 1.5 years of being a non aggressive coral eater to one day randomly starts tearing all the corals apart? I keep it VERY well fed and I feed my tank 2-3 times a day and it hasn't bothered a thing. Not to mention, it also totally leaves my clam alone. Anyone had experience with this specific fish before? I don't want any general advice like, "oh it's hit or miss" and things liek that. I want people who have seen a peaceful angel fish all of a sudden go nuts on their corals or someone who has kept this specific fish before.

Hit or miss IME.... My blueface was an angel (no pun intended) Untill I wasnt around for a day to not keep him fed. He almost destroyed my Suncorals, Acan and Open Brain. I had to give him up sadly. He was just starting to mature in color! He was a very model citizen up until then. I gave him time to try and stop but didnt. Eventually he got traded into the LFS for a 200g box of salt mix lol.

 

lol 200G box of salt? sounds like a deal to me, i would do that in heart beat!
well it's a big dilemma for me.. i can't seem to catch him and so far he has been fine.. i guess i will have to wait for the day that he starts tearing everything apart and then catch him.. thanks though
how did you get him out of your tank? did you have to tear your tank down?
