    I dont think that's bad, especially considering that you have some top notch equipment there. Is everything brand new or did you surf the for sale forums?

    why did you use the egg crate on the bottom? so the rock wouldnt touch the glass? looks great!

    I didn't want all that pressure of the rocks on one point on the glass so the egg crate is to spread the weight throughout the entire bottom. Plus it pushes the rocks up a 1/4 inch and the sand settles in between it.

    The eggcrate is a really good idea too if you decided to get creatures that burrow, then you dont have to worry about them going to far under the rocks. Really helps in the "peace of mind" department. : )

    That was another reason. I know I want a diamond goby and they like to burrow.
