I'm looking into getting some blue green xhromis for my 75. Tank has been up for over 2 months. I'm reading mixed reviews on these fish from, good beginnerfish, to hard to keep. What are you experience with these fish? I don't think I'll get the blue reef chromis anymore.

Put them in the tank and feed them. I started with 5 two years ago and still have 4. The one died due to jumping into the overflow and I couldn't get it out. Just try to get all the same sized fish and add them at the same time. This will help with the dominance factor at feeding time.

If you can, get them without black shoulder patches these are much more aggressive and likely to kill each other off.

Feed them 2 or 3 times a day when you first get them for a couple of weeks then you can feed them daily and keep them alive.

try to get in an odd numbered group and add together. I feed mine about 2-3 x a day along with all the other fish. They seem to be fat and healthy - have not been difficult to care for at all (oops, need a knock on wood here) :)

I've been trying to keep them for quite sometime. I do consider them a beginner fish and quite easy to keep but every time I buy a few, they last a month or two and one by one they disappear. I have no idea why, maybe I feed them too little IDK!
The only thing I can think of is that they kill off each other. I got 15 in December, put 10 in my DT and 5 in my frag tank. Now I'm left with one chromis in each tank... :/

Hmmmm, after reading so much about how these fish kill each other and die within a month, I think I'll skip chromis fish.

They're easy fish but some get aggressive. Started with 5 and one became a bully killed 2.

As already mentioned, make sure none have the black spot; they're the more aggressive ones. Sorry to say, but that's the only experience I've had.
