Blue hippo tang VS. Fire shrimp? I just added these two in my tank. I noticed the tang nip at the shrimps feelers. Is this behavior normal? I thought that the regal tang was supposed to be a good boy!

Thats what I'm guessing but since there new tank mates maybe they need to get used to each other.

Sounds normal. Just a quck introduction to each other and then cleaning time.
Sounds like a good setup as the fire shrimp will do a good job keeping that Hippo healthy.

That is a great site for the hippo. They are the worst at getting ich, and other infections. I guess they stress easly. But now your shrimp and tang are buddys, so hopfully it will keep the tang happy for years to come. Thanks for posting, its always nice to see a union of fish and invert, lol
