Ok I have a few Blue leg hermit Crabs and they seem to be attacking my some of my snails.. I find them in there shells to move into a bigger home. Is this normal? My cleaning crew is doing a great job at keeping things clean and nice. Sorry if this is a n00b question.. Just noticed that more of my hermits are moving into the bigger shells.

I had the same thing happen in my tank... It is unfortunate but, hermit crabs will fight eachother for shells. The best bet would be to get some empty ones in there and hope they don't go for eachother.

As for them attacking snails, I cannot see how they could succeed in killing a snail unless this is a HUGE crab... Just food for thought, good luck!

Thanks. They are not real big but didn't take them long to sniff out bigger shells... Guess I will have to get some new snails and some empty shells. Karma around
