Blue leg hermit without a shell? normal?

    is it normal for a blue leg hermit to be without a shell? this is the first time i've seen it

    it may have outgrown it's old shell..are there other larger empty shells available for it?

    im not sure if their larger but i do have some small and decent sized shell's on the sandbed

    hmm..maybe he just feels so much at home in your tank that he's comfortable walking around naked

    is it moving around? hermit molts look like live hermits... only they don't move.

    it looks like his legs are moving, but the rest of the body isint, could be eating though

    A streaking hermit. Interesting. I've seen them crawl out of their shell into a new one but that's it. Was it dragged out and partially eaten by another crab? The legs may be moving in current. Usually they do not roam around nekkid.

    The only naked ones I've seen were dead.

    My blue leg walked around a bit without a shell for maybe a few hours until he found a larger shell to move into. And my two other scarlet hermits were walking around without shells and got eaten :( guess I didn't have a big enough shell for them
