So I have a linka star and it is starting to look a bit scrawny and want to feed it something. I have tried krill and that is about it. I have some live sponges in my tank but don't seem to do the trick. Please respond with what your linka eats. Please I don't need to hear that you should not have a linka or it will die and there is nothing you can do, cause I know there are people out there with long lived linkas'. Please keep those comments to yourself. thanks.

I had a purple and never fed mine anything specific. It always seemed to find plenty to eat. Are you over filtering/skimming possibly? Not sure if that would matter, just a question. Sorry I couldn't be more help, 10.

Unfortunately, it is unkown to science what exactly linkia's eat, and that is part of the reason why the have such horrid survival rates in captivity.

Sorry I do not buy into the try stuff, the only way to find out what they eat is to observe them in their natural habitat, and that is not in an aquarium. It seems weird that they even pull them from the ocean knowing they will eventually starve to death. I will still ask my doctor about his next time I go see him. If it is still there....Sorry if that sound's rude but if I had something that I didnt know how to feed I would take it back....
