Im seriously considering building a small tank JUST to house one. I really loved the fish, they are comical with tons of personality and beautiful to boot. I would toss one in a topped cube in a heartbeat if you had one running.

What species of puffer? Most of the blue-spots I have seen for sale were a pretty decent size. Have you seen the puffer acting aggressively towards any tankmates?

It's a spiney box puffer that's about 3 inches long. A friend had him and could not care for him.. The hand feeding to avoind an even messier tank was too much.. What you get for not doing any research.. I took him and put him in with my clarkie clown. so far so good.

I wouldn't be super concerned. If the blue spot is large enough to avoid being eaten he will probably be left alone. Blue spots can be pretty aggressive/defensive, shouldn't have an issue holding his own.

I saw my yellowhead sleeper goby attack the BSJfish today for the first time. Quite a little skiff. I still recommend getting one.. Just get some screen around areas to keep him from jumping.

Yeah, thats why I was nominating it for a 'cube type tank. Only way I would do another is in like that or in a setup where a FULL mesh top was possible.

If the BSJ is already settled in a burrow it SHOULD be ok BUT if your looking to add a BSJ with an existing Bicolor, your gonna have one unhappy jawfish that may never burrow and acclimate correctly IMO not even worth trying.

Blennies are tricky and in my experience with the 2 together it wasn't a pretty site - plus the blenny is a HARD fish to remove if you had to.
