    You will want some nice frozen meaty foods like mysid, cyclopees. Look into Rod's Foods or similar. Keeping these fish nutritionally happy is very important. Flakes will not cut it.

    sorry for the confusion. Reef flakes are a substrate, made by tropical eden. I've heard great reviews about them.

    I've found that they like larger particle substrate versus the sugar sized sand popular in reefs.

    Thanks!!! The reef flakes are supposed to be 3.5mm and the mini flakes 2.0mm. so i think both would be better than anything sugar sized.
