I was looking at this fish online and they say it has an easy care level, but I rather ask around to be safe. Has anyone had any experience with this fish? Currently I just have 2 clowns in my tank, a starfish and a spiked urchin.

Great fish. They'll eat about anything.
    Two big things:
    1. They're jumpers. A screen or something to keep them in is a must.
    2. They need a sandbed to dig in.

Beautiful and fun fish.* As long as your tank is mature, and you keep your chemistry levels stable, they are fairly easy to care for.* However, your tank has to have a cover.* They are notorious for carpet surfing.

I will never have another one..they are expensive and jumpers!

First one I had I made a eggcrate cover for him. There was no openings except the opening in the egg crate. I dripped him, turned off the lights and placed him in the tank....next day saw him on the carpet! little burger jumped through a hole. I never ever saw him

Second one I bought and had a glass lid on it. I left that on for several months thinking he would settle. A couple days after I took the lid of he jumped. In fact he is in the middle of the back of the tank...the one spot I can not get to

That was a couple hundred worht of fish on the floor

Where did you guys get your fish? My LFD had one for 150 today, but I was not sure how good of a deal that is. I have a glass top with only a 2" gap running the lenth of the back to allow room for the filter, cables, etc,

The fact they are jumpers can't be stressed enough. They NEED a tight fitting mesh lid and can find there way through eggcrate and surprisingly small gaps. Otherwise, they are a bit more defensive then pearlys but still very peaceful fish. I would worry about keeping one with tiny shrimp(sexies, yellow stripes, etc) but should be fine with almost everything else.

They show up here on the local message board every couple of months for about $75. That's what I paid. In a store.. yeah a lot more.

Store prices around here run $120-$140 or so, but they are available online for $75-$90 with some frequency.
