Ok, soooooo my blue tang (brand new in her tank today) gets grabbed and pinched by our emerald crab. If we wouldnt have saw him do it he wouldnt have let her go! It doesnt look like her skin is torn but she does have whitish pinch marks. Should I do anything today or just monitor her for the next day? Poor thing, we took the crab out and put him in our biocube...stupid crab! Please help with any suggestions.... just my luck!

    Hi KJC
Monitor, if there is no serios damage of lessions/ cuts, then everything should be OK

New home and being pinched...Those two things are stressful so watch out for ich, other than that not much you can do. If you haven't yet, turn the lights out. It'll find a place to hide and be less stressed. Turn the lights back on in the morning. Keep the emerald out for about a week, if you can, till the Tang gets used to it's new home...in a few days we expect pics of your new baby!

Ya I dont think she has any lessions or cuts, at least I cant see any...I have some melafix ready just in case but if she does would that be something Id need to use in a QT or put directly in the main tank? Ive got the lights turned off and I really hope she does ok. If she does happen to get ick should the ich-attack be something I could put directly in the tank or in the QT?

Ich attack is reef safe, I believe - so no worries in the main tank

dont want to be adding stress to a new fish by repeated moves IMO
