I want to add a blue throat trigger to my reef but I'm still wondering the reef safeness of them, I know that they maybe will eat shrimp, snails and crabs but I was wonder about corals. Will they eat anything that is meaty like acans, frogspawn, torch... And will they touch sps?

    Thanks in advance!

I have a hummu hummu trigger in my tank and a buddy of mine gave me a chunk of LR with pulsing Xenia and tree coral and unfortunately he has started pecking at the pulsing Xenia. From my limited knowledge triggers will eat whatever looks good to them when they discover they can eat it. But then again I have softies I don't know how well they do with other corals.

I have a blue throat trigger and I have never had a problem with him. Not eathing Inverts or corals. I just added a clam and he hasn't bothered that yet (keeping my fingers crossed). I do not have any SPS though. It has been fine with the coral I keep. Anthelia, Xenia, Hammer, zoas shrooms and a few others.
