Mines laminated as well.... So I just have hang on the back over flow that goes down to the sump. Which has a pretty big refugium and has a GFO reactor and stuff, and will also have room to run my chiller pumps and a calcium reactor.

Nice! Yeah my tank wasn't thought out very well in the beginning it was going to be fish only, we switched to coral in the middle of the process and somethings weren't thought out. I have a 5gal hang on fuge, It seems to help quite a bit. I would fix some of it's shortcomings but, I won't waste any more money on it if I plan to upgrade. Your setup is really great looking.

    Thanks mate, its coming along.

Just need to sort out the algae, do some more additions to the stand and paint the back and it will be looking sweet. Think I will go with black. Shall get it tomorrow and paint it!

Sounds like a plan. I think it will look great.

Hard to go wrong w/ black. I've seen some pretty cool light grey/white ones that look pretty spectacular too. That said, I'm going to try midnight blue. Will be painting this weekend probably, so will try and remember to post a picture of it in this thread...

I don't agree that black absorbs light, at least not to a degree that would be detrimental to your corals. That said, my personal preference is blue. :D

Also, I think blue would contrast nicely with the stand and canopy, allowing the tank to be the main attraction.

True, black wouldn't absorb anymore light than dark blue with neither being an issue, but I think it's a more of a preference than anything, most blues will give the impression of depth where as black will give more contrast giving the corals a tad more "pop".I personally always go with black.

Once you go black, you never go back!

I have blue on my nano and it just doesn't "match" everything like black.

That sounds great. I might wait and let you go first :p

I do agree the blue looks good. My tank also has no canopy. At least that takes care of black affecting corals.

Also how do you find a cleaner wrasse? I have heard they are difficult to keep but I am interested in getting one. I only have a 55g with 4 other fish.

When you say pop do you just mean greater colour contrast?

I've finally decided on black, always using dark blue before. Instead of acrylic which is shiny, I'm getting something more like abs which won't reflect back light (Due to it's lack of shine). We'll see how this works.
