Hello Everyone.... I am new to this forum ...First Post here!

So, first off I have a 29g Biocube, I recently purchased a Beautiful, Healthy, Active BSJF, I already had a Yellow WM in the tank, 4 days after i got the BSJF acclimated, they have became best buddies, sharing a den, hanging out together all day, i have also recently added a Tiger Pistol Shrimp to the tank in hopes of pairing with the YWM..... He could care less! so my question is, is this common? will he eventually leave the BSJF for the TPS? will the TPS be ok without the watchman as a seeing eye fish?

Don't know about the BSJF and YWG relationship, but the pistol will be fine on its own. My YWG died and my pistol is still clicking away. I see him very rarely now, but he is still in there.

My understanding is that they pair up in the wild because otherwise the shrimp will get eaten by a predator, but that won't happen in an aquarium, unless you have a shrimp eating inhabitant. Then the question becomes a matter of when will it happen...

that is odd. they look so similar and have similar habits i would think they would fight. lucky you! i purposefully make sure the fish i buy don't look too similar. because I'v heard they don't get along. and it really makes me upset when i have to return a fish. i get attached quickly. good luck!

oh i also have a pistol shrimp on his own. my gobies paired and did not accept the shrimp. so your shrimp will be fine.
