Well I walked into the house on Friday to the lovely sight of my Foxface doing the dreaded powerhead hug! A couple days before I switched the impeller in my MJ mod from the medium one to the super crazy 2000 gph one and I think he ventured too close. He seemed healthy before, a little skinny but not bad. He swam away once I turned it off and wasn't using one pectoral fin, I thought he was toast. Well as of now he is swimming using all fins again and eating better than before. He still has marks on his side from the MJ. I have since switched back to the medium impeller and won't use the large one again, this is the second fish I have had this happen with. I'm keeping my fingers crossed he will survive!!

I am looking into how to manually focus my camera. I think if I can figure this out my pic quality will be better!

 

Guess it is time to look into a sump and get those deadly PH's out of the tank.

 

Hopefully soon. The biggest mod is just too much, it is crazy powerful. I love all the flow but not worth losing a $40 fish. At least he now has braggin rights that he is the only fish in the tank with some tattoos!

Bryce, instead of manually trying to focus the camera you should try using a tri pod. I've got one if you ever want to borrow it.

I actually had a clown survive going over the overflow and into the return pump. He was stuck on the grate about 1/4" away from being chopped up... the pump took half of his pectoral fin and quite a bit of his tail. I didn't think he would make it, but in my limited experience so far, fish are more resilient than some give them credit for GL with the foxface and i want to see more pics of the new tang

 

Lol your on it! I haven't received any of it yet. I got 2 250watt mh bulbs, new MJ 1200, new ro canisters, bulk di resin, lugols, aualifter, float switch for ato, just lots of boring stuff pretty much! But there will be updates... with pics!
