    I know they will all be alright, it just sucks looking at the dark tank all day... hope this works:-/

    sure does suck. I remember when I did it... It seemed like the lights were off forever...

    Thanks for the reply buddy. I don't think it is hurting it, the sun never shines directly on the tank. Plus, I want to be able to keep an eye on it just to make sure nothing goes wrong...

    After 3 full days of no lights you can tell a big difference, there is only about half as much algae as before. I tried to take some pics but you really couldn't tell from the pics how much algae there was. I am keeping my fingers crossed that this wipes it out then my cleanup crew will keep it under control...

    I'm on day 7 now and might turn the lights on tomorrow. If I do I think I will acclimate everything to the lights over a week period or so just to make sure. All actinics first day, then 1 hour increments for my MH. The water is super cloudy today, I don't really know why but I will wait till tomorrow and see how it looks...

    Need to pull as much as you can out. Don't think you need to acclimate to the light. God never gives the ocean time to get used to the light again. Cloudy one day and sun shining the next.
