If you read through the last couple pages you will see I tried a sea hare and it didn't make it... poor shippers I've heard and I haven't felt the need to try again yet. There have been so many changes I am not surprised at all that the SPS finally had some problems. Very dissapointing, but all my other corals (hammer, frogspawn, trumpet, zoas, plate, green star polyps, acan) are all doing great. And also stated earlier in the thread my bulbs are only a month or two old.

I do believe I need to bump the alkalinity up. I need to get Scott over here to test with his kit first, I don't want to make a change without double checking my test kit. I think mine reads around 9 and I know I need to get it up to at least 12. A little less then half of the rock came as LR from the LFS, and the rest was all base rock.
Your not the only one hoping things get better... but I've been surprisingly optomistic throughout this ordeal... a Powder Brown will be a welcome addition here soon:)

If it's at 9 dKH, add about 2 heaping tablespoons of baking soda that will get you there.

I would have to check with Ogle to make sure when I got it from him but I'm thinking around 1.5 months.

I figured you would still be riding:) I am going to try and snap some pics tonight, I have been trying to let him chill for a little bit. I tried to snap some pics last night but he started freakin so I stopped. So far he is doing good, he has started swimming around a lot more. I think having no other fish in there has helped him get used to things a lot easier. I have only seen him nipping at rocks a couple times so far, I hope he quickens the pace soon;D

Roger said I should be good to go so I'm giving it a try! I was hoping the LFS would have a Powder Brown or Lawnmower but they only had a Foxface and a Mimic Tang as far as reef safe algae eaters are concerned, so I got the Mimic. He is a beautiful juvenile yellow color right now. I'm crossing my fingers hoping everything goes well!!
