Perhaps your age has made you senile... I was stating the fact that if you look it up it has a bunch of different names so I stated the most popular... Mimic and Chocolate lol

Well I dosed a little less than what was recommended last night (1.5 tablespoons) to boost my dkh. I woke up this morning and the tank was kinda cloudy. Thought that it was either from me dosing or some bacteria bloom. Got home this afternoon and 5 minutes later the tang died. He was looking healthy last night. Dosing raised my KH from 7.5 to 13.1. I am guessing that the swing stressed him too much from being a new fish... or my ph dropped overnight from dosing. I should have got the KH raised before I added the fish so I take the blame. My parameters are:
    KH-13.1
    MG- 1500
CA- 425 (dosed tonight to bring back up to 450)
    Nitrate- less than 5
    PH- 8.3
    SG- 1.024

I am going to make sure my parameters stay stable for a good week then try again with either a Lawnmower Blenny, Clown or Damsel. I am looking to get some Algea X if I can find any in the states (so far I can't find any) so that I can get rid of the algae before I add a new fish.

everything looks ok. Just work on keeping it stable or maybe even raising that calcium a bit like you mentioned.

Keep at it bro, you'll have a "fish" tank in no time.

Another dramatic chapter in the life of my tank. Good thing I'm stubborn otherwise the tank would have been gone months ago!

Anyone know any place that has Algea X?? www.cherrycorals.com is out. I found a Canadian site that has it but won't ship to the US. I contacted Roger to see if AAT has any. Any other places have this?? Any info would be greatly appreciated!!!
