Still can't find him. What a bummer, everything seems to be great, I just tested this past Friday and all is well. I did just add a couple frags and had my hands in the tank a lot doing it, I'll hope and pray he was just freaked out and is in hiding... :(

On a happier note... my trumpet has split from 1 to 2 heads and looks like another split will be coming within a week or 2! And my frogspawn started as a 3 header and has since split 3 times for a current total of 6 heads and 4-5 little heads starting at the base! Still would like to see brotha-man the 6line though... :(

sounds like your tank is really going!! congrats :)...i dont know if six lines do this, but i think most wrasses will dive in the sand when spooked, hopefully you will find him soon, my green chorris wrasse hid for a few days if he got a good scare ;D

I've had my sixline hide for a few days before. It happened when I was changing my aquascape around. He actually made a home out of a hollow rock, it has two entrances. I took that rock out of the tank without knowing he was still in it. He fell on the floor and I quickly put him back in. After that he hide for a while, i thought he was dead or had jumped. Luckily, about a day-two later I saw him swimming around. They are pretty hardy. He may just be hiding under/beneath a rock

Man I hope you guys are right. At first I was freaked, then I thought about it and thought I would wait a week then freak! I got him from a friend after his house flooded with 3+ feet of water, the flood came up to the trim on his tank. Anyways, we started tearing apart the tank-- saving what corals and fish we could. We got down to the bare sand and couldn't find him, we figured we pulled him out from some rock. Right as we were getting ready to dump the sand in the yard with only 1" of water in the tank we saw him and I saved him! Hopefully he is just playing hide-and-go-seek with me, I'll keep everyone updated! Thanks for the reaasurance!!!

Hate to say it but it is probably better off because that is too small of a tank to have a six line and mandarin in there competing for the same food source.
