Long story short, the dog cam back from my aunts house two weekends ago and we recently found out that he is now carrying flees! We tried all safe methods and now can only resort to "bombing the house". This is going to happen within the next days and im working like crazy this week. Am i going to have to break down the entire tank, or can I seal it in some way?

    Worst possible situation....:-/

i think if you plastic over the tank but leave some space for the trapped air to exchange and turn off anything that injects air into the water you should be o.k. may want to plan on a big water change after its all said and done,

You wouldn't want any air to exchange. You may just have to tear it down. That gas is really poisonous.

Is there any way to get an air pump outside running some tubing from it into the tank? I use a 2x3 cut to length to fit in a window with a few holes drilled for 1/4" tubing for my RO/Di. I bet if you did something like that and used "great stuff" to seal everything in place (from the outside), and TOTALLY sealed up your tank besides that air line from the pump outside you might be OK.

    ^^thats an excellant idea^^
I would then wait even longer than when humans are allowed back in the house to open it back up and completely clean everything around the tank with clean towels and good hot water.

That could work, but you would really need to be careful.

During the summer I thought my dog had fleas (did not, thank goodness!) and the exterminator said he couldn't bomb the house with the fish tank.

You're extremely lucky. While working at a LFS I had several customers that went through the same thing but lost the entire plot. It's simply not wise or safe to bomb a house with a tank in it, even if covered.
